National Football Youth League
MATCH ADMINISTRATION CHECKLIST
SEASON 2024-25
It is each club’s responsibility to read and comply with the full National Football Youth League Rules for Season 2024-25
The following is to help the club administrator follow the rules regarding match administration and do not replace the full league
rules.
CHECKLIST
1. Pre Match Administration
Ensure all players to be named on the team sheet are correctly registered on the WGS - Rule 18A
Send match confirmation to opposition and match official at least 5 days prior to fixture - Rule 20C
Send Emergency Action Plan to opposition at least 5 days prior to fixture and ensure the correct medical protocol is in place for the fixture - Rule 20 J
2. Match Day Venue
Ensure the venue has been approved by the league committee and it meets league requirements- Rule 20A
Ensure that the dug outs will be in place - Rule 20A
Ensure all medical equipment will be in place for the fixture - Rule 20J
3. Appointement of Match Officials
Ensure that the match official is aware of the league rules (available online) - Rule 23J
The Referee must be a minimum Level 5 and Assistant Referees minimum Level 7 - Rule 23A
Inform Referee of the online report form - Rule 23I
4. Match Day
Ensure the coach has at least 3 team sheets to take to the fixture - referee, opposition and retain - Rule 20F
Team sheets to be exchanged not later than 30 minutes prior to kick off - Rule 20F
Ensure all equipment is in place including the capatain’s armband - Rule 20H
5. Post Match
Match result to be sent to the league within one hour of the final whistle via FA SMS result service or text message to - Rule 21A
Match report to be sent to the league by 5pm next working day - Rule 21B
All sections of the match report must be completed and emailed to admin@nfyl.co.uk
6. General Administration
All communication must be in writing to the league secretary - nationalfootballyouthleague@gmail.co.uk or via text 07727817917 - Rule 5D

Ensure all staff are aware of the specific cup rules - Rule 24
7. Disciplinary Roles - League and County FA - this provides clarification over which incidents the league has jurisdiction for, and
what must be reported to the County FA
Any player/official/spectator uses abusive, threatening or discrimatory language or behaviour - County FA
Any player/official/spectator commits an act of violent conduct or assault (not dealt with by red/yellow card) - County FA
Red and Yellow cards - County FA
Team fields a suspended player - County FA (League will act once the County FA have completed its disciplinary procedures)
Team fields an unregistered player - Report to League
Team fields an otherwise ineligible player - Report to League
Match is abandoned by the referee due to misconduct - County FA (League will act once the County FA have completed its disciplinary procedures)
Match is abandoned due to a team refusing to continue/ walking off -County FA (League second)
Match is abandoned by the referee due to player injury - County FA (League second)
Match is abandoned due to weather conditions - Report to League
Team/Official receives a low Respect rating from opposition/referee - Report to League and copy in County FA
Referee received a low Respect rating from team/s - Report to League and copy in County FA
Illegal approach for a player- Report to County FA
